“I was impressed with how a lot of our guys wrestled on Saturday at the Warrior Duals,” coach Travis Andrews said. “There were a few matches that I thought guys could’ve won, but made a few mistakes.

“At the start of the day, I knew we would have a tough time as a time with Oelwein and Tipton having mostly full rosters and us being limited with what we had. After those two duals, we talked as a team and challenged them to go 3-0 as team the rest of the day. They ended 3-2 on the day and finished it off in the last dual with a decision by Trever, winning 33-30 as a team. Trever Freiburger wrestled well in all his matches on the day. In the last dual against Postville, Trever had to bump up to 113. The dual was tied going into that match Trever wrestled well to pull off the decision and the team win. Kodey Miles is another wrestler who has been showing improvement throughout the year. He had a nice takedown against the Central Elkader wrestler, ending the match with a fall after that first takedown.

“It was exciting to see the guys on the bench get up for his big takedown that he had. Aidan being able to wrestle again on Saturday was also nice to have. He competed hard in all his matches, winning by a pin in all 5. Cade Rausch also had a nice day at 170/182. He has been competing well at the upper weights as a freshman this year,” he added.
