Cascade’s wrestling team faced Anamosa, Mid-Prairie and North Cedar in a quad meet, Jan. 16, and won 8 total matches on the evening.

Anamosa earned a 51-27 win over the Cougars.

Carson Staner (132), Trever Freiburger (106), and Aidan Noonan (126) all pinned their opponents in the first period. Staner’s win was the quickest in just 45 seconds. Noonan won in 49 and Freiburger 1:18.

Hunter Vogel (145) won by an 8-1 decision and Luke Ludwig (113) won by forfeit.

Cody Kremer (152) and Ted Weber (160) both lost by fall. Isaac DeLaRosa (170) lost by a 14-8 decision.

CHS forfeited at 138, 182, 195, 220, 285, and 120.

Mid-Prairie bettered Cascade, 54-27.

Vogel started the dual by pinning Owen Trimpe in 2:52. Noonan made quick work of Noah Ford with a fall in 35 seconds.

Weber earned a 10-5 decision over Mason Hartley.

Freiburger and Staner won by forfeit.

Kremer, DeLaRosa, Miles, and Ludwig all lost by fall. CHS forfeited at 182, 195, 285, 120, and 138.

Cascade closed out the meet with a 48-27 win over North Cedar.

Freiburger defeated Karter Murray by fall in 1:20.

Kremer, Weber, Rausch, DeLaRosa, Ludwig, Noonan, and Staner all won by forfeit.

Vogel lost by fall and Miles lost a 6-4 decision. CHS forfeited at 195, 220, and 120.
