During the unseasonably cold conclusion of the annual Bernard Semi-Pro Tournament, friends, neighbors and former teammates faced off as the Indians and Cascade Reds began a Sunday afternoon trophy fight for bragging rights.

After a two quiet innings, in the top of the third with two outs, Bernard’s Creighton Kreshel hit a bloop single past first off veteran Cascade pitcher Pat Weber to reach base. Kreshel then attempted to steal second, and when the throw came in low and ended up in centerfield, was able to safely end up at third.
