Cascade native Colin Rea spent a month with the Milwaukee Brewers before being returned to Triple-A Nashville this week.

Colin Rea’s return to the Major Leagues couldn’t have gone much better. Rea, whose contract was selected by the Milwaukee Brewers earlier in the week, gave the Brewers what they were looking for in his start at San Diego, April 13.

Rea, who began the season at the Brewers’ AAA team in Nashville, threw 5 2/3 innings, allowing two hits, a run and a walk, while striking out six, as the Brewers defeated the Padres 4-3 in 10 innings.
