Rep. Bradley passes first bill through Iowa House

On Feb. 8, Rep. Steven Bradley (R-Cascade) of House District 58 successfully floor managed his first piece of legislation through the Iowa House. House File 262 allows a pharmacist to refill a prescription once a year, in an emergency situation, for up to a 30-day supply. Current law prevents pharmacists from refiling more than 72 hours-worth of a prescription emergently. This bill includes prescriptions for medications such as insulin, Epi-Pens, and inhalers. HF 262 passed the House unanimously with a vote of 91-0.
