Cascade city election scheduled for Nov. 5

There will be a city election in Cascade Nov. 5, with two city council seats and the mayor seat up for election. Council seats are four-year terms and the mayor seat is a two-year term. To hold office in the city, a candidate must be an eligible elector, meeting the same qualifications required to vote, and be a resident of the city.

The City of Cascade conducts business on the second and fourth Mondays at 6 p.m., with additional work sessions held during budget season (December through February). Nomination papers can be obtained at the city clerk’s office, the Dubuque County auditor’s office, as well as at
