The Cascade Hometown Days Committee recently released its logo for the 2020 celebration.

Cascade citizens and visitors wanting to help celebrate Cascade’s signature event will have to wait until next year.

The Cascade Hometown Days Committee posted on its Facebook page July 9, “It is with heavy hearts that we bring you a tough announcement. Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel our 2020 Cascade Hometown Days celebration.

“This was not a decision we made lightly and have spent hours discussing how we could fulfill our mission of bringing people together while providing a safe atmosphere for them to enjoy our community. Unfortunately, due to the current social distancing guidelines, we do not feel like a normal Hometown Days is possible. We hope you can understand the difficult decision we were faced with and that we only want what’s best for the community.

“We want to thank our sponsors for their continued support and let you know that we will be working to pick up the activities that we intended for 2020 and move them to 2021.

“Our fifth annual celebration will be scheduled for Aug. 20-22, 2021.”
