Soap made from berries is the special product from Aronia Essentials, a Cascade business run by the Webber family. Specifically, they create and sell handmade soaps, lotions, bath bombs, scrubs and other spa products from the aronia berry, a superfruit high in antioxidants, anti-inflammatory, and healthy when eaten as well as soothing to the skin. The berries are grown on 22,000 bushes by Jean and Dave Webber, who started it as a 25-acre hobby farm in 2013. The first berry harvest was in 2016.

Jean Webber said, “Our kids graduated from high school and we decided we wanted a hobby farm, but it became more than a hobby farm. It’s a berry native to Iowa and not many people knew about its benefits. We grew it to hopefully help people with health and educate them.”
